The first two serial attack helicopters of the modernized Mi-28NM project were handed over to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on Wednesday, December 30, by a source of RIA Novosti.

According to him, the air vehicles were handed over within the framework of the contract for serial supply, the necessary acceptance certificates were signed.
Before entering the combat unit, the helicopters will be tested at the 929th State Flight Research Center in Akhtubinsk. “The ferrying of both aircraft from the manufacturer in Rostov to the GLITs airfield is expected in the near future,” the source said.
As reported in early December, the Ministry of Defense approved an updated schedule for the delivery of the Mi-28NM to the troops. By the end of the year, the industry must transfer two serial machines out of the ordered 98 to the Aerospace Forces, sources in the military department told Izvestia.
By the end of 2027, the Aerospace Forces will replenish 98 such helicopters with improved characteristics compared to the conventional Mi-28N.
