According to him, state tests were completed in 2020. “Today, the first serial samples of new electric torpedoes have already entered service with the Russian Navy,” the newspaper “Military Industrial Courier” reports.
Obnosov noted that such torpedoes were produced in the Soviet Union, but then they had less high tactical and technical characteristics. And the new Russian model “significantly surpasses” the Western ones in terms of noiselessness, range of action, depth of immersion and range of target detection by the homing system.
The head of the company also said that all the developments created over the past decades by KTRV are in demand on the world arms market, reports the 360 TV channel.
Earlier on January 24, it was reported that Russia plans to test the latest guided 152-mm artillery round for howitzers.
