Servicemen of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District, in honor of the Tankman’s Day, gave a ride to the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Anatoly Terekhov in a modernized T-72B3 tank. This was announced on September 14 by the REN TV channel with reference to the press service of the Central Military District (CVO).

The veteran became a member of the crew of the upgraded tank. It is reported that Terekhov started the war as a driver-mechanic on a T-34.

According to the veteran, modern technology is more comfortable and automated. In addition, the front-line soldier had a conversation with the servicemen and talked about his participation in the battles during the Second World War.

Earlier, on May 8, the servicemen of the Kantemirovskaya tank division congratulated the 93-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War Fedor Fedorovich Rykhlov on the upcoming Victory Day.

Servicemen in three specially equipped KamAZ and Ural vehicles deployed a full-fledged stage area under the veteran’s windows. The veteran and his wife, being at home self-isolation, were able to listen to the performance of the military orchestra and the combined military choir of the Kantemirovsk division, as well as watch the choreographic performance.
