The new controlling person of the Kalashnikov group of companies – the largest Russian arms manufacturer – has become the former Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alan Lushnikov, the group said on Friday, November 6.

“In the Kalashnikov Group of Companies, the controlling person has changed – on October 29, 2020, Alan Valerievich Lushnikov became the only participant in TKH-Invest LLC,” RIA Novosti quotes the words from the message.
According to Kommersant, TKH-Invest LLC through Transkomplektholding JSC (TKH) controls 75% minus one share of Kalashnikov. State Corporation Rostec owns a blocking stake in the concern – 25% plus one share.
It is noted that Transkomplektholding belonged to Alexei Krivoruchko, who was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia in June 2018.
It is specified that Lushnikov has significant management experience, in particular, in transport engineering. In 2012-2018, he worked in the government, oversaw the issues of industrial policy, regulation of the transport industry. He was also Deputy Minister of Transport from 2017 to 2018.
In August, the general director of the concern, Dmitry Tarasov, said that the group had begun developing a new light machine gun commissioned by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
