The Russian Black Sea Fleet began tracking the activities of the British Navy Enterprise and the US Navy Yuma that entered the Black Sea. This was announced on Wednesday, September 16, to reporters at the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation (NTSUO).
“The forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet have begun to monitor the actions of the survey vessel Enterprise of the British Navy and the fast military transport vessel Yuma of the US Navy, which entered the Black Sea on September 16, 2020,” the center said.
It is noted that the vessels entered the Black Sea earlier on Wednesday.
On September 13, it was reported that the US destroyer Ross had approached the Russian border in the Baltic.
The Russian Baltic Fleet has deployed a naval and air force to track the US ship. It is noteworthy that the “visit” of the destroyer is taking place against the background of more frequent flights of NATO military aircraft near the borders of the Russian Federation.
