Shoigu predicted the share of modern weapons in the Russian army by the end of 2024

“The planned indicators of procurement of modern samples due to the measures taken will allow to bring the level of modernity of the army and navy to 75.9% by the end of 2024,” he said at a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Shoigu also stressed that the country’s armed forces will receive 94 aircraft and helicopters by 2025, including 22 fifth-generation Su-5 fighters.
