This was announced by Fanil Ziyatdinov, General Director of the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, in an interview with the National Defense magazine, which will be published in the January issue.

According to him, products on a wheeled floating chassis will appear in the model range of the air defense missile system. He also recalled that since it was put into service in 1986, the Tor air defense system has undergone three waves of major upgrades, which have dramatically increased its combat capabilities. The head of the Air Defense Forces of the RF Armed Forces, Alexander Leonov, on June 15 last year, said that Russia is developing a modification of the waterborne version of the Tor-M2 air defense system on a specialized wheeled chassis.
SAM of the “Tor” family is a tactical complex designed to solve the tasks of air defense of troops and objects at the level of divisional level in the areas of their concentration, during the conduct of hostilities and on the march, to protect strategic objects and elements of modern high-precision weapons.
