Two Russian Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft made a long flight near the northern borders of the country. This was announced by the Northern Fleet on Saturday, September 12.
The flight took place over the neutral waters of the Barents, Norwegian and North Seas. It lasted over 11 hours and was held in strict accordance with international standards.
At certain stages of the flight route, Russian aircraft were accompanied by fighters from foreign countries, the Navy noted.
On September 11, a Russian MiG-31 fighter intercepted a Norwegian Air Force radio reconnaissance aircraft over the Barents Sea.
