In the village of Terba in the Syrian province of Latakia, the Russian military brought food kits for the families of the dead Syrian military personnel and people affected by natural disasters. This was announced on Saturday, January 30, by the representative of the Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic (CPVS) Vladimir Pavlenko.
In Terba, most of the men with weapons in their hands went to defend their country and their loved ones from the militants, many did not return. Employees of the CPVS came to support the families who have lost their breadwinners.
In addition, orange groves – the main source of income for local residents – were badly affected by wildfires that raged in the province in the fall.
Center staff constantly monitor the situation in the country and send humanitarian convoys to those most in need. In total, since the beginning of the work of the CPVS, the Russian military has carried out more than 2.7 thousand humanitarian actions and handed over to the Syrians over 4.6 thousand tons of humanitarian supplies.
Earlier, on January 13, it was reported that the servicemen of the Russian CPVS for the first time carried out a humanitarian action in the large village of Tay in the province of Haseke in northeastern Syria. Food kits were distributed to residents.
