The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have successfully tested a new missile of the Russian missile defense system (ABM) at the Sary-Shagan training ground in Kazakhstan. This is stated in a message published on November 26 on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“The commander of the 1st Army of Special Purpose Air and Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense of the Aerospace Forces, Lieutenant General Andrei Demin, said during the event that the new anti-missile missile defense system after a series of tests reliably confirmed the inherent characteristics, and the combat crews successfully completed the task, hitting the conditional target with the given accuracy, “the defense ministry said in a statement.
On November 25, Izvestia reported that the Russian Defense Ministry had accepted three Su-35S multipurpose fighters of the 4 ++ generation.
Two Su-35S will go to the center for training aviation personnel and military tests of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Lipetsk. Another Su-35S will remain in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the 23rd Tallinn Fighter Regiment.
This delivery completes a five-year contract, under which 50 Su-35S aircraft have been delivered to combat duty in the combatant regiments of the Russian Aerospace Forces by the end of 2020.
