The curriculum of specialists of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops (RHBZ) was amended against the background of the spread of coronavirus. Starting next year, future officers will undergo a special training course on combating the viral threat and mastering new technology that is used to localize foci of infection. This was reported by Izvestia sources in the military department.
They gave in to a couple: the military began to fight COVID-19 with hot fog A new way of disinfecting buildings and equipment is many times more effective than treatment with liquids or powders
Thus, a new discipline has already appeared in the curriculum – “Basics of biological defense”.
After the revision of the training programs, all students will study areas related to diagnostic research, collection of field material on the territory of the outbreaks and disinfection. Also, cadets will be taught how to organize the protection of military units during a pandemic.
According to experts, all these means will make it possible to use troops much more efficiently on civilian objects with an unfavorable epidemiological situation.
“In today’s situation, it is necessary to involve everyone who has the necessary amount of knowledge about methods of prevention, disinfection of the working space, etc. Therefore, the emphasis has shifted in the curriculum. If earlier the main emphasis was placed on issues related to the processing of equipment and terrain, now there is an urgent need to focus on epidemiological problems, ”said military expert Oleg Zheltonozhko.
By the end of next year, complete sets of equipment will be delivered to separate brigades and regiments of the RChBZ troops in several districts. The machines are supposed to be actively used not only for military purposes, but also for civilian purposes – for disinfection of premises and research in the latest antiviral laboratories.
